SELECTION PROCESS

The PAVB Coordinating Committee received a total of thirteen curatorial proposals on October 30, 2015. On November 28, the Jury conducted a crucial deliberation before it selected the curatorial proposal that would represent the Philippines in the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale.

The jurors were Senator Loren Legarda, principal advocate of the project; NCCA Chairman Felipe de Leon, Jr.; Architect Dominic Galicia, then current president of The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) Philippines; Architect Minsuk Cho, Commissioner and Curator of the Korean Pavilion Crow’s Eye View, which won the Golden Lion for Best National Pavilion at the 14th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition; and curators Jang Un Kim (South Korea) and Hussain Mustafa (Singapore).

The panel of jurors selected the curatorial proposal of the Leandro V. Locsin Partners titled Muhon: Traces of an Adolescent City. The selection was announced on December 2, 2015.
